	Wyoming is the least populated state in the union and one of the few states that actually declined in population after the last census. After riding my bike for six days across the hottest, windiest, most desolate place I can possibly imagine, I can’t figure out why anybody would live there at all. Fortunately, after I parted ways with the Deffenbaughs, I met up with another rider named Roger to give me company across the sagebrush prairies. Together, we ventured through the elements on our quest to find any kind of green vegetation.

	John Denver built his career on singing songs about the beauty of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain highs he used to get. While the mountains are high and beautiful, he obviously never rode his bicycle over them. If he did, I would bet money that his songs about the lung searing, leg burning mountains wouldn’t have been so damn happy and cheery. Not only that, but his stupid songs left out half of the state. Why didn’t he ever mention eastern Colorado? I’ll tell you why, because it’s too damn flat, hot and boring.
